For the second portion of this project we were given the assignment of finding the volume of a complicated 3 dimensional object around us and then giving a presentation on how we found the volume and so forth. Before we were assigned this Dr. Drew gave a presentation on a variation of what someone did instead from a previous year. A previous student decided to create a Yangma instead of the original assignment. A Yangma is a pyramid but instead of the vertex ( the highest point) being above the center of the base is above one of the vertices of the base. when you have three Yangmas of the same dimensions they can be put together to form a cube.
so instead of doing the original assignment I created the Yangmas which I was confident I could do with my background in woodworking. Below you can see a video of the basic steps I took to make the Yangmas
